Karen Armstrong
I started my floristry career over 30 years ago when I attended a course at a local college on leaving school. I have been involved in the floristry industry both retail and training for most of my working career.
At present I am currently working as a training and assessment consultant for KEITS LTD a private training provider who delivers NVQ'S and apprenticeships in the work place in England, my role is to support the business and the learners to achieve their qualifications.
This is my first year on Council and I am looking forward to working with the rest of the team, listening to the needs of members, helping the society of floristry to thrive.

Since graduating with a Ba(Hons) in Marketing in 1996 I have been working within the floricultural industry. For the majority of this time I have been UK Marketing Manager for Chrysal, the world leaders in cut flowercare and conditioning products.
My role within Chrysal has, to date, been extremely varied working with users throughout the full flower chain from grower to consumer, supermarket and florist.
I am responsible for the marketing, development and rollout of new products, concepts through advertising, press releases, exhibitions, open days, newsletters as well as being a part of smaller project teams on an international basis with our Dutch head office.
This is my first year as a Council member and am really looking forward to "getting stuck in" with the rest of the very enthusiastic team!
