RHS Chelsea Flower Show
Florist of the Year

The British Florist Association and the Royal Horticultural Society are excited to launch the 2010 RHS Chelsea Florist of the Year competition.

Held at the internationally regarded Chelsea flower show the competition showcases the very best in professional retail floristry, offering the contestants a chance to show their skills to the world's press and industry experts.

Divided into two categories: ‘Florist of the Year' (ages 26 and over) and ‘Young Florist of the Year' (ages between 16-25) the competition is open to any florist that works or owns a retail florist shop, or is studying or teaching at an approved floristry school or college. Entry

To enter you will need to submit a piece of floristry to one of the

regional qualifying heats. The highest scoring entries from each category will qualify for a place at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. The task will be to design and create a funeral tribute for a keen gardener. Fresh flowers/ foliage must predominate - the judges will be looking for a high standard of composition and technique.

To register your place in the regional heats please email info@britishfloristassociation.org with the following details:

  • Email Subject: "Regional Heat Registration"
  • Name
  • Competition Category - Florist or Young Florist award
  • Which Regional Heat you would like to attend.

The BFA will then email you the application form to complete. Please bring your application form to the regional heat. You must register at least 7 days before your regional heat.
