Colleges will be able to offer their premises for use as venues for Society of Floristry events and subsequently use publicity for their local recruitment.
Updates from the awarding bodies for floristry and conference events will be organised, discounted for tutors at member establishments.
Access to NDSF demonstrators at an established pay rate. Occasional mention in Focal Point where relevant. Also reporting on College events and contributions towards student pages by tutors. Tutors will be supported through College and Individual membership. Tutors will have opportunities for development as examiners and trainers.
College members will receive two copies of Focal Point per issue, plus an information pack containing updated information about Society of Floristry examinations, training weekends, workshops, demonstrations etc.
College members will be able to benefit from a free annual visit from a Society of Floristry Liaison officer who will talk to students about the Society of Floristry, its handbook of definitions, examinations, training events and possible career paths. The programme is a new development for Society and we are keen to work with colleges to develop a programme of specific interest to your students. The visit will not include a formal demonstration however this could be incorporated by negotiation at an additional cost. Please ask for details.
College membership does not entitle individuals to benefit from any student or full member discounts or offers that the Society may offer from time to time.
